You have reached the web page of an historical World War II living history display group. We are dedicated to preserving the history and traditions of the American G.I., in particular recognizing the contribution made by the American Airborne soldier during the Second World War. Our members are located throughout Scotland.
The group loosely takes its name from the HBO mini series entitled "Band of Brothers" which depicted the exploits of a unit of American Paratroopers, Easy Company 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR), 101st Airborne, from the D-Day Invasion until the end of the War in 1945.
Our group does not take part in battle re-enactments, preferring to concentrate our skills and authenticity in organising static living history display dioramas at the increasingly popular military vehicle events and air shows. We have displayed at East Fortune Museum of Flight, RAF Leuchars, RAF Kinloss, Dumfries and Galloway Aviation Museum, Caledonian Railwayand North Yorkshire Railway. We have also participated in VE/VJ and National Veterans Day Parades.
We can offer displays for corporate events with a difference, 1940's Wartime events, film or theatrical work, or as support for Murder/Mystery scenarios. We are always ready to support any Veterans' Organisations in fund raising or publicity.
As well as the many accoutrements carried or used by the US soldier in WW2 we have access to several Jeeps, a GMC truck, deactivated weapons and tentage which form the backdrop to our dioramas.
Our group members are all enthusiasts!
Members of the group are affiliated to the Scottish Military Vehicle Group (SMVG) and the Scottish Military Reenactment Society (SMRS) which carries with it third party liability insurance cover.
